Pakistan Finalise Coaching Panels for U-16, U-20 and National Football Teams

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has finalised coaching panels for the country’s key national teams. The appointments cover the U-16, U-20, senior men’s and senior women’s sides. A source confirmed the developments to Geo News. The decisions come ahead of a busy international calendar.

U-16 Set for Kazakhstan Challenge

Former Pakistan captain Muhammad Essa will lead the men’s U-16 team. He has been appointed head coach for the UEFA U-16 Development Tournament. The event will take place in Kazakhstan from April 24 to 30. Jaffar Khan joins as goalkeeping coach. Muhammad Arshad and Nadeem have been named assistant coaches. Pakistan’s U-16 side will travel to Kazakhstan in April to compete in the UEFA development event.

Shahzad Anwar to Lead U-20 in SAFF Championship

For the SAFF Under-20 Championship in Maldives, Shahzad Anwar has been named head coach. The tournament is scheduled from March 23 to April 3.

Mohammad Habib will serve as assistant coach. Sheikh Hamdan is also part of the coaching panel. Noman Ibrahim has been appointed goalkeeping coach.

Rizki Returns for Women’s National Team

In women’s football, Adel Rizki returns as head coach of the national team. He will lead the side in the FIFA Women’s Series 2026. Mahnaz Sadeghi and Solmaz Azimian will assist him. Ahsanullah continues as goalkeeping coach.

Changes in Senior Men’s Setup

For the senior men’s national team, Nasir Ismail and Walid Javaid Khan have been added to the coaching staff. They will work under head coach Nolberto Solano.

Muhammad Aslam Khan, an AFC A Licence holder, has been appointed goalkeeping coach of the national side. With new assignments confirmed across all levels, Pakistan’s national teams now have their backroom staff in place for the upcoming competitions.
