In a significant administrative development, the Pakistan Football Federation has announced that all pending payments related to players and officials have been cleared.

Payments Across Eight Events Settled

According to the federation, a total of 230 players and 62 officials across eight different events have received their outstanding compensation and allowances. PFF President Syed Mohsen Gilani described the move as a key milestone.

“We have fulfilled our commitment to the players and officials who represent Pakistan on the international stage.”

Challenges Remain Despite Progress

The payments come despite restricted funding conditions from global football bodies, highlighting the financial constraints under which the federation continues to operate.

Gilani reiterated that players and coaching staff remain central to the federation’s priorities, calling them “national assets” whose welfare must be safeguarded.

A Step Toward Credibility

For years, delayed payments and financial uncertainty have been a recurring issue in Pakistan football. This move is expected to restore a degree of trust between players and the federation.

However, consistency will be key. One-off settlements, while important, must translate into long-term structural reform if the federation aims to rebuild credibility.
