Abidjan: Pakistan Women’s National Team announced their arrival at the FIFA Series 2026 in emphatic fashion, thrashing Turks and Caicos Islands 8-0 in a record-breaking performance at Stade Alassane Ouattara.
It was Pakistan’s biggest-ever international win, surpassing their previous 7-0 victory against Maldives in 2022.
Under head coach Adeel Rizki, the team delivered a dominant display from start to finish, overwhelming their opponents with relentless attacking football.
Pakistan raced into control early, with Zahmena Malik opening the scoring in the 10th minute, followed quickly by Aqsa Mushtaq doubling the lead.
Midfielder Layla Banaras added a third with a composed finish, before Mariam Mahmood capped off a commanding half with a well-taken volley.
The second half brought more of the same. Nadia Khan extended the lead with a header, while Aqsa and Layla both completed braces.
Isra Khan rounded off the scoring as Pakistan sealed a statement victory.
Despite missing captain Maria Khan due to injury, the team showed depth and cohesion.
PFF President Syed Mohsen Gilani hailed the result as a landmark moment.
The victory not only boosted confidence but also signaled the growing potential of Pakistan women’s football on the international stage.
